I'm linking up for Carrie's http://apassionforapplique.blogspot.com/ UFO challenge. I've completed 2 this month!
I think this is a new record, not even out of January and my daffodils are starting to bloom!!

I'm back blogging again with a working camera. We've been on a roller coaster temperature ride, with some lovely warm days and bitter cold ones. The past few days have been so cold. A perfect time to have fun rummaging in the box that Mary http://www.quilthollow.com/ sent me. There is so much to play with! I've had so much fun playing with the box. It's like Strega Nona's magic pasta pot. The more I take out, magically more seems to appear.
I have a new addition to my sewing room, for Christmas I received an Ott Light. I love this especially at night, and it's pink!! The picture doesn't do it justice, but it makes a huge difference.
And speaking of cameras and pictures, my daughter has given me her camera and I've found some beautiful pictures on it when I was uploading mine. I might share a few of them. Here's one of my favorites from this past summer.

I've been working on my ufo list and also trying to get some new things done (and finished) too. I made some pillows for my daughter's dorm room. Complete with zippers! Here they are in their new home.
I'm still having camera issues, so in case you can't see it too well, that is a linen I found at Joann's. It's poodles riding scooters!

I joined in on Chookyblue's Secret Santa Swap again this year. I was so delighted when I opened my package from Suze http://suzeblack-bearsmum.blogspot.com/2013/01/sscs-piccies.html This wallhanging really makes me smile everytime I look at it.
I've been having some camera issues so I've taken the pictures of the other things that Suze sent me from her blog.
I love the koala bear ornament, adorable! And she sent me the prettiest towel. I was also impressed with the label on the back. I think it's stamped. My labels are always sort of sad looking. Suze has inspired me on this front. Thanks Suze for making it such a great swap!
Carrie over at Passion for Applique http://apassionforapplique.blogspot.com/ is hosting a ufo-along. I'm joining in for this. I have a pile of ufo's that shame me everytime I look at them. Hopefully this will help. Here's what I want to finish in January:
I have all these blocks appliqued just need to sew them together and make it a quilt of course.
Ooops! Valentines from last year not finished
A star quilt with my Lily Pulitzer fabric scraps ( an unfinished gift for this Christmas, which I'm optimistically going to think of as my first completed gift for Christmas 2013)
Again thinking of this as a head start on next Christmas.
