Scrappy Log Cabin!!
FINISHED!
I joined in on the Scrappy quilt-along over at Ellison Lane quilts http://ellisonlane.blogspot.com/2012/11/scrappy-stash-quilt-along-link-up-your.html
Mr. Linky says I have 1 hour left, I just made it!
I'm loving this quilt, it's 100% scraps. When the sun comes out, I'll share a better photo of it.

I saw this link http://www.asymca.org/index.php/what-we-do-3/national-programs-services/operation-kid-comfort/ yesterday and in honor of Veteran's day I wanted to share it with my quilting friends.
I think it's a perfect way to commemorate this Veteran's Day.

I've joined in on the Scrappy Stash Along over at Ellison Lane Quilts http://ellisonlane.blogspot.com/.
I've just finished the top and am going to sew lots this weekend so I can finish it by the finish date (11/13).
It's a lovely sunny day here
Molly wants to play. She picks the nastiest ball she can find as the favorite fetch ball for the day. She could play fetch all day long.
Our cat Jinx is not doing well, every day that he seems pain free and happy is a good one. He wanted to sit on our porch in the sun today, which made me glad. I've never had a cat before, and apparently according to our vet, he is unusually friendly and sweet. I've noticed when I tell Molly to sit he sits too. We've been enjoying the time we have left with him, which seems sad, but it's been a lesson in appreciating those we love (people and animals).

This weekend Spoonflower had an open house.
I was thrilled to be able to go and take a tour and even do a little craft.
I didn't want to take pictures because they were so generous opening up their space. But I can tell you if you ever get the chance to go do it! I loved seeing the fabrics being printed. I especially loved the atmosphere. Between the wallpaper, upholstery, and all the fabrics displayed it was a fabric lovers dream.
Here's a taste from their blog http://blog.spoonflower.com/.

I'm finally a craftlete
Melanie http://houseelf-doings.blogspot.co.uk is holding a Craft Olympics. It's a great way of pushing us to do something we might not otherwise try.
My first completed project is this small table topper.
I always wanted to try a spiderweb block and I finished this just in time for Halloween (even though I'm showing it a bit late).
I enjoyed making these blocks, although my points aren't all matching, and I'm not sure why. I may need to try more of these, does anyone have any tips?.
