Adventures in staple gunning and spray painting (part one)

I love Connecting Threads and in particular I loved this new line that came out a couple of months ago http://www.connectingthreads.com/collections/Hello_Sunshine_Quilting_Fabrics__L177.html?intmedid=A-CollectionBox-177 When I saw it I knew I needed some for my laundry room. I've had this old washboard that I inherited years ago (that's painters tape on the scrubby part.
A little paint and a hanger on the back with a fussy cut piece of fabric and I have a new fun thing to hang in my laundry room ( I spend lots of time in there).

I have lots of scraps from kid quilts I've made over the past few years. I used some baseball themed scraps to make this for the 100 Quilts for Kids http://www.swimbikequilt.com. I think I'll send this one to Margaret's Hope Chest. I have a couple of others in the works I want to finish by the October 14th deadline.
My new quilt helper, sadly my other one resigned when she left for college. If only Molly had thumbs.

Daugther #2 is a good cook, she and I have similar tastes. The only problem is that she's away at school now, but fortunately not too far and can come home and give me a cooking lesson every so often. This is one of my favorite meals. I think it's an amalgamation of a few different recipes off of pintrest. She also is a very good photographer, so not only did she make dinner but also took some pictures for my blog.
Vegetables(thinly sliced zuchinni, squash, pepper, shallots, and asparagus) sliced and drizzled with olive oil, kosher salt and ground pepper laid out on a circle of parchament paper
Next goes the filet of fish, we used Tilapia this time, followed by lemon slices.
Fold the paper over, crease the edges and twist the end to make it airtight. Then we bake it for 25 minutes at 350.
Ready to eat!!
